Meet Our Founder
Marvin Joles founded his first venture, Wis-Coat, in 2004, shortly after graduating from River Valley High School. After launching in Black River Falls, he relocated to Lone Rock, Wisconsin, to establish the office near the Wisconsin River.
He then strengthened his expertise by attending asphalt maintenance courses at the University of Wisconsin, where he gained in-depth knowledge of pavement preservation, repair techniques, and best industry practices.
For 5 years, he also ran a successful paving company in Iowa. Presently, Marvin aims to grow NASHphalt into a leading name by focusing on education, innovation, and high-quality service.
Beyond entrepreneurship, Marvin is a dedicated father and an industry leader who frequently writes articles about asphalt maintenance for national publications, speaks at industry conferences, and volunteers at his favorite non-profit in Guatemala, Mission Impact.

With proper maintenance, asphalt surfaces can last 15–20 years or more. Regular sealcoating and repairs are key for extending the lifespan of your pavement.
What is sealcoating, and why is it necessary?
Sealcoating is a protective layer applied to asphalt surfaces to prevent damage from water, UV rays, and chemicals. It enhances the pavement’s durability and lifespan.
How soon can I drive on newly paved asphalt?
We recommend waiting at least 24–48 hours before driving on newly paved asphalt to allow proper curing and setting.
